Use Lexi Tools in SMC

Objective: Learn how to use new Lexi Tools in StrongMind Central.

Notes: The Lexi Tools library continues to grow. Available tools are at the top of the menu and will show "Explore Tool" if it has been released. Text leveler can be used in conjunction with alternative assessments to create lexile or grade level specific questions for students. Parents also have access to these tools within SMC.

How-To Guide

  • Log into StrongMind Central.

  • Select Lexi Tools from the Resourse Hub Menu.

Tool Spotlight: Song Generator

Create an original, educational song about any topic and in any genre or artist inspiration.

  • Input a fun song title
  • Add a description of the desired content
  • Add the artist inspiration behind the song vibe or style
  • Select Generate Song

Tool Spotlight: Text Leveler

Copy + Paste text into the Text Leveler Tool to adjust the desired Lexile Level or Grade Level.

  • Input a target grade level or Lexile level to adjust the current text to
  • Paste original text
  • Select Generate

Tool Spotlight: Sentence Starter

Create sentence stems and discussion starters based on a topic, passage, or idea. 

  • Input a target grade level
  • Add a subject - you can be general, like "science" or more granular
  • Add a description or writing prompt
  • Select Write
