Objective: Learn to view results for an assignment or exam attempt.
Note: Canvas captures a students most recent grade to send to the gradebook. Teachers may override this data manually by entering the highest attempt directly within the gradebook.
How-To Guide
- Select Courses on the left hand side in global navigation, then select All Courses.
- If you're an admin, make sure you have selected the correct school
and course within that school.
- Select the course you want to work in.
- Select Assignments on the left hand side in course navigation.
- Select the assignment you want to view attempt results for.
NOTE: There are multiple ways to view attempt results.
- View Attempts/Class Performance/Answer Key.
NOTE: This view allows you to filter between a student's latest attempt, best attempt, and first attempt, but only the most recent attempt goes to the Canvas gradebook. This view also allows you to view the percentage of students that answered each question correctly, incorrectly, partially correct, and skipped.
- Select an individual student by selecting attempt number.
NOTE: This will allow you to view the student's individual answers, add or re-open an attempt, or view a summary.
- Select SpeedGrader in the top right corner.
NOTE: SpeedGrader allows you to filter between a student's multiple attempts, view answer choices, print a summary of each attempt, and update the grade for an assignment.
- Select a student using the dropdown menu.
