Grade Exams and Quizzes Using SpeedGrader

Objective: Learn to grade exams and quizzes using SpeedGrader.

Notes: SpeedGrader makes it easy for teachers to evaluate assignments quickly. In SpeedGrader, student submissions, grades, rubrics, and comments are saved all in one place.

Multiple users should not grade assignments at the same time since each grader cannot view the most recent information for a submission.

How-To Guide

  • Select Courses on the left hand side in global navigation, then select All Courses.
  • If you're an admin, make sure you have selected the correct school
    and course within that school.

  • Select the course you want to work in.
  • Select Assignments.
  • Select Exam or Quiz you want to grade.

  • Select SpeedGrader in the top right corner.

  • Select a specific student by selecting the student name from the dropdown menu in the top right-hand corner,

  • Select the submission you want to grade if the student has multiple submissions.

NOTE: You can change the score of a question by selecting the question and typing in a new score or by using the arrows to adjust the score.

  • Select Review Changes.
  • Select Submit Changes.

NOTE: You will see the assessment score has updated. In order for the grade to be reflected in the gradebook, you need to add it to the assessment grade panel on the right hand side.

  • Type or paste updated grade into the Assessment Grade box.
  • Select Submit.
