Learn to modify the number of attempts on an assignment.

Notes: Default attempts for Checkpoints are set at 3 attempts, Workbooks at 3 attempts, and Quizzes and Exams are set at 1. When attempts are exhausted more can be added in SpeedGrader.

How-To Guide

• Select Courses on the left hand side in global navigation, then select All Courses.
• If you're an admin, make sure you have selected the correct school
  and course within that school.

• Select A Course to work in.

• Select Assignments in the navigation and choose the assignment you would like to modify attempts for. 

• Select Edit Assignment Settings. 

• Scroll down to Attempts. If it is set to Unlimited, first set it to limited in the drop down menu. Then, select the number of attempts you wish to set. 

• Select Save.
