StrongMind offers NCAA approved courses to district programs through a partnership with The Bridge School, powered by American Virtual Academy.  Listed below are NCAA College-Bound Student Athlete expectations when partnering with The Bridge School for their academic needs.

• NCAA college-bound student athletes are responsible for their eligibility requirements including:
  • NCAA student athlete is required to complete all coursework in the course.
  • NCAA student athlete is required to have at least weekly ongoing academic communication with teachers.

What you can expect from The Bridge School Administration and Teachers as we partner with you:

• The NCAA student will be enrolled in The Bridge School’s student information system as a part-time student for all requested NCAA courses. A transcript for these courses can be issued upon completion of the course(s).  Please also retain the enrollment in your student information system.
• Certified teachers will be added to your course sections to support NCAA students in your learning management system.
• Courses begin on Mondays, or Tuesdays if Monday falls on a holiday.
• Courses have a defined time period for completion.  Courses are a minimum of 9 weeks and maximum length of 18 weeks
• Instructor led interaction including evaluation, academic feedback on assignments, and communication such as exchanging emails, online chats, phone calls, etc.
• Opportunity for teachers to engage the student in individual or small group instruction.

To request instructional support for an NCAA course enrollment, please email advisor@thebridgschool.org and CC your Partner Success Manager with the following information a minimum of 2 weeks prior to requested course start date:

• Student name
• Name of school district
• Copy of the student’s birth certificate, including full legal name and birth date

Upon completion of the course, please send a request for the transcript to advisor@thebridgeschool.org There are no additional fees for transcripts.
